[ There is a girl in the village plaza who looks rather out of sorts as she sits on the ground, legs out to her sides, in a random sort of spot. She is kind of blank-faced as she stares at the other passers-by, with only a hint of confusion in her brow to betray how she's feeling.

Though it might be hard to see her face clearly under that short cape she's got on. It's black, with silver tassels. And though she's trying to watch what's going on around her, at the same time, it's like she wants to hide. But then, why isn't she moving away?

Maybe it has something to do with the carton of eggs on the ground next to her.

Though it probably has something to do with the fact that she now has white wings for arms. Can't really pick up a carton of eggs when you don't have hands, can you?

So the strange hooded girl with the feathered arms, at a loss, will just sit there for a while trying to figure out what to do.

God help you if you step on her eggs, though.

"'Poor little ugly duckling!" she would say. 'Why are you so different from the others?' And the ugly duckling felt worse than ever. He secretly wept at night. He felt nobody wanted him.

'Nobody loves me, they all tease me! Why am I different from my brothers?'" ]

(ooc; The Ugly Duckling, everybody. And yes, the pic is just a reference -- her feathers are actually white, not brown, and she's not wearing any other pieces of that costume. Cape, bird arms, and then her normal clothing beneath.)

[Mia's managed to make a few tiny friends - most notably a small brown sparrow. She can't take up all of the bird's time all day, though, and it drops her off near the eggs. Birds gravitate toward eggs.

There's a person with the eggs but Mia isn't paying her too much attention. She's too busy with how large eggs are, in comparison to her.]

[Well Xion, hopefully you don't mind that soon there's a crash around the corner as Flynnigan Kairi bursts out of one of the shops. She's afraid of being chased by Rainbow Dash, you see.

And she's just about to step on those eggs when she screeches to a halt, wobbling on one leg with satchel in hand and surprised expression on her face. Her eyes first go from the eggs. Back to Xion. Then to the eggs. Then back to Xion.

...why does Xion have eggs?

...sooo...this isn't normal, right? Because I don't remember this as being normal.

[ For a moment, Xion simply stares at her, saying nothing. Blinking a few times.

What ... is she wearing ...

Although, she does reach out quickly, and very protectively, to wrap her wing-arms around her eggs and try to pull them out of the way. ]

... Kairi?

Yeah, hi, it's me. Mind if I hide out here for a while, thanks. [And she's plopping on the ground, satchel in lap and protecting it the same way Xion's protecting her eggs.]

So what's your story with the eggs and the wings and stuff?

[And of course Prince Roxas is busy wandering around...well, more like stomping. He's managed to fight off the effects for a brief moment of time to realize that this? This is stupid. What kind of stupid outfit was this anyway? What the heck was he supposed to be doing?

But then he spots Xion on the ground, and he frowns. Great. Of all of the people that needed to be effected right now...he approaches her, crouching down a little to try and look at her face.]

Hey...you in there somewhere?

Oh ... Roxas. Hey. [ She doesn't move when he crouches down, only looking at him placidly. ] I'm okay. I just didn't want to leave my eggs. [ The briefest of frowns crosses her face -- why does she care about some eggs?! -- but it passes quickly. Of course she cares about them -- she needs to find a place to keep them, so they stay warm and safe. It's this very, very odd train of thought that makes her take a moment to catch up with his ... appearance. ] Wait ... what are you wearing?

[breaks_destiny]

[Xion doesn't look as out of place as this bear here. Staring blankly at her, her arms and eggs.

... He has been thrown in in the middle of an experiment, hasn't he? Because just being a bear isn't enough, of course. See the bear sigh and approach you to sniff at you, Xion. Don't worry he won't even get close to those eggs.]

......... it's not ... trying to hurt her? W-Why, it's a huge bear. ;~; Even if he's not making any motions towards her eggs, one arm-wing is laid protectively over them anyway, as if that would, you know, help.

When it becomes clear the bear isn't going to hurt her, she finally pipes up. ]

[Never fear, Xion! Your fairy mer-mother is here! She skips and flutters around the plaza wearing a flowing blue gown with hilariously large fairy wings and a large pink wand with a big sparkly star on top. She continues twirling about, humming happily until she catches eyes with the girl.]

Ah, hello, Xion-chin! [She cocks her head and blinks, tapping her chin a few times.]

Is... something wrong? [You always had arm-wings, yes?]

[Giles just...stops to watch for several long seconds when he realizes that the girl in question is Xion.

It's with some hesitation that he approaches, because you never know with this experiment.]

Do you, um, do you need some help, Xion?

Giles? [ Peering up at him. ] Actually ... yeah. Can you pick up these eggs for me? [ ... ] Carefully?

[fabrecation]

[Thankfully, Luke has not been affected yet. Well, he did get sand thrown at his face by Paprika, but other than that, he's just fine. He has noticed weird things going on, some things that just seem... familiar, thanks to the stories he's read. Experiment, probably...

... Though he stops dead in his tracks when he sees Xion sitting there with eggs and wing arms.]

... Xion? Are you okay?

Um ... yeah, I'm fine. Why?

[ Xion's not the only one with new wings today!

...Sort of. Fenimore might have gotten the outfit and all of the compulsions of Sleeping Beauty Grune's good fairy, but she had thus far failed to get any of the benefits, such as the bug wings capable of flight or any magic to do the job for her. So, to fly about as her instincts are telling her she should, she has had to resort to being carried through the sky by her peepit. While the bird is, by now, nearly as big as she is, it isn't exactly practiced in carrying people and not entirely suited to carrying even someone as small as Fenimore, so it's more like she's leaping from rooftop to rooftop while the bird flaps madly to keep her in the air briefly.

On such an outing, she catches sight of a person in apparant distress -- something her newfound good fairy instincts will not let stand! Unlike how Fenimore might normally act, good fairy Fenimore isn't taken aback by the person with wings for arms. Mystical things are pretty run of the mill. Instead, she chooses to alight beside her to inquire into what is the matter.

Or, at least, that is the plan. But she hasn't gotten the hang of this flying thing yet, so instead swoops overhead, legs kicking madly in a desperate attempt to maintain altitude, before accidentally cannonballing into the fountain.

[ Xion JUMPS, with a startled cry, getting out of the way of the off-kilter Fenimore -- even though she wasn't in danger of being hit. Her hood falls back when she scatters, but thankfully her eggs remain intact, as she went in the opposite direction.

... for a moment, she lies there on the ground and stares, bewildered. ]

[ Awkwardly, she pushes herself up and moves over to the edge of the fountain, now very concerned. ]

Fenimore?!

[Enter Jack, exiting the bakery with a plum pie. As he's busy poking around inside it for an actual plum, he notices Xion over being a duck.]

Why are you a duck?
